As revealed by the police editor of NEON and Vima, Vassilis Lampropoulos, on MEGA, progress has been made in the investigations with the members of the EL.AS will appear optimistic that they will soon know the faces and motives of the murderers.
It is recalled that the 53-year-old Yannis Skaftouros was murdered in Skourta of Boeotia and had activities and associates in Attica, Zakynthos, Mykonos, Bulgaria and Cyprus.
Two more of his relatives, including his young daughter, were injured in the attack on 25 April.
The attackers were four people on two motorcycles. They stopped near the house and two, wearing helmets, entered the yard of the house where Skaftouros was with about 10 relatives and friends and fired several times with a Kalashnikov.
He was considered one of the key members of the "Greek Mafia". He was known by the nickname "Uncle Joe" and was the right-hand man of the notorious Vassilis Stephanakos who was murdered in 2018.
He was also an associate of Panagiotis Vlastos and was accused of kidnappings, the most famous being that of shipowner Pericles Panagopoulos. His "biography" is accompanied by death contracts and extortion.
