Divided citizens on the results of rapid tests On the one hand a positive result and on the other hand... negative How the Ministry of Health responds to the Cyprus Times The verification procedure and the release of the case in case of non-verification All information
Division and questioning of results, in cases where citizens undergo rapid antigen detection rapid test with different results.
The answer, it turns out, may be PCR.
For the above cases and citizens' complaints, the Cyprus[/B][/B] Times contacted the Press Spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Constantinos Athanasiou, who told us that there is a specific procedure that citizens can follow to verify the result.
To begin with, it is stressed that the decision of a portion of citizens who are detected positive and then go to another site to be retested is considered illegal as it violates the Ministry's protocol, with a risk of spreading the virus.
However, in cases where citizens are detected positive either through the Ministry of Health's programme or through private laboratories/pharmacies, are registered as cases and then by tests which they self undergo in their home, are negative, creating doubt about the first result, then they can contact the Ministry and report it.
According to Mr Athanasiou, for the above cases-which justifiably need review- they can contact the Ministry of Health which will arrange an appointment at one of the public health clinics where the citizen will be asked to undergo a molecular testPCR.
In case the result is positive, then the citizen is asked to follow the protocol and immediately put on self-limitation.
In the opposite case, when the result is negative, the Ministry immediately releases
the citizen who ceases to be a case.
