One death and 163 new cases of coronavirus were announced on Friday in the occupied territories, out of a total of 17,582 diagnostic tests.

The health ministry said 29 cases are contacts of confirmed cases and 134 are community transmissions.

45 cases were detected in occupied Nicosia, 33 in occupied Kyrenia, 36 in occupied Famagusta, 13 in occupied Trikomo and 7 in occupied Morphou.

Cases in the occupied territories total 34,001 and 135 are deaths.
