In today's online meeting of the Political Bureau the validity of yesterday's application of interest of the President of the party Mr. Averof Neophytou, for the nomination of the candidate for the 2023 Presidential Elections. The candidacy will be submitted for ratification at the party's Supreme Council meeting next March.
[/P]As reported by the Democratic Rally, the Political Bureau simultaneously authorized the party president to start contacts with other parties and social groups in order to explore the possibility of partnerships and programmatic convergences for the presidential elections.
Mr. Averof Neophytou warmly thanked the Political Bureau and set the main axes of how to proceed on the road to the presidential elections. He indicated the big priority for the next period which is the completion of the government's work and the passing of the pending reforms in the Parliament. Mr. Neophytou outlined his vision for the Cyprus of the next day. Based on the implementation of the recovery and resilience plan, as well as radical breakthroughs to make Cyprus a modern model country. He placed particular emphasis on the resolution of the Cyprus problem, reiterating that great visions do not fit in divided homelands.
The floor was then taken by many of the members of the Political Bureau, expressing their views on how the party will be politicking in the coming months, united and strong, so that our political proposal for governance is embraced by the majority of Cypriot society and in 2023.
