Odyssey for a family with six young children in the village of Yolou. The father was found positive for coronavirus last Saturday and has been isolated in the basement of the house.
The tracing unit has asked the mother to take five of the six children aged between one and five years to Paphos Hospital today for a molecular test, observing all protective measures.
The mother asked the health ministry to have her relatives assist her in the transfer, which she has been forbidden to do, stressing that it is almost impossible for her alone to transport all the children at the same time for the molecular test.
Family members note that in such , unique cases, the ministry could arrange for the samples to be taken on the spot.
The eldest child of the family aged eight had not been in contact on the day her father was diagnosed while two of the younger children are twins.
