Hamburg police said on Twitter that a large-scale operation is underway at a school in the Welfeld area where an armed youth is believed to have entered.
In its first tweet, Hamburg police wrote: "A large-scale police operation is currently being carried out at the Otto Hahn school in Jenfeld. The area around the school is closed. A young man armed with a firearm has reportedly entered the school building."
"It is not clear whether the suspect observed actually entered the building or simply walked towards the school building and then perhaps passed by the school. For precautionary reasons, the school building[/B] is currently being searched by special units," Hamburg police wrote in a new post.
