Without electricity several areas of Limassol were left without electricity.
According to the press officer of the Public Power Corporation, Christina Papadopoulou, the power cuts are due to a network that suffered medium voltage damage.
"Our crews are already at the site where they are carrying out sectional checks in an attempt to locate the damage and restore the problem," Ms Papadopoulou said.
As for the amount of time it will take to fix the problem, Ms. Papadopoulou replied that the process, first to locate the fault and then to repair it, may take, approximately, 2 more hours.
