Deaths and new cases of coronavirus announced in Greece today - EODY's announcement
The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 35,580 of which 32 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,170,293 (daily change +3.1%), of which 50.4% are male.
Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 217 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 1.410 are associated with a previously known case.
New deaths of COVID-19 patients are 72[/B] with a total of 20,708 deaths recorded since the start of the outbreak. 95.2% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 636 (59.7% male). Their median age is 64 years. 80.5% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 540 (84.91%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 96 (15.09%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,751 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 421 (daily change +1.94%). The seven-day average admission is 346 patients.
The median age of cases is 37 years (range 0.2 to 110 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
