Members of staff working in the office British Prime Minister Boris Johnson at No 10 Downing Street held a party last year amidst a full lockdown and on the eve of Prince Philip's funeral[/B], the British newspaper The Telegraph revealed yesterday, Thursday.
Councillors and civil servants met to celebrate the departure of two members of the prime minister's team, communications director James Slack and one of Boris Johnson's personal photographers, the Conservative newspaper explained.
These new revelations come as the British prime minister is fighting to stay in office after he apologized for attending another celebration held in Downing Street amid another lockdown in 2020, saying he thought it was a work meeting.
That Downing Street party now revealed was held, according to the Telegraph, on the eve of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth's husband, while the country was in a period of national mourning.
The images of the Queen sitting alone in the front row of the church at Prince Philip's funeral due to the restrictions associated with COVID-19 symbolized at the time the severity of the lockdown in place in the UK.
