Another 204 total promotions were announced in the Police.
The Cyprus Times understands that since Monday 111 members have been promoted to sergeants, while another 93 chief constables have been promoted to deputy sergeants for the next two years.
It may be recalled that other promotions involving Lieutenants and Senior Lieutenants were also announced in the last few days, while several transfers were made to important posts in the Police Force such as in the CID, YKAN and Police Headquarters.

There were also rearrangements in the police in the upper echelons with Assistant Chief of Operations Dimitris Demetriou officially taking over as Deputy Chief, replacing Christakis Mavris, who retired from the force.
However, in the next few days the position of Assistant Chief of Operations is expected to be "locked" with information that Christoforos Mavromatis and Giannakis Georgiou are the frontrunners.
