Four arrests after coordinated operation in Chloraka Apartment complex and vehicles searched
A coordinated operation to police the community of Chloraka took place yesterday from 5pm, until midnight, which was attended by members of the PAPA, the PAPA OPE, the YKAN (PAPHOS CLINIC) and the Airport Security Directorate (ASA).
According to a spokesperson for the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, during the operation, checks were made on houses, apartment complexes, vehicles and persons, while four persons were arrested under court warrants for allegedly violating the relevant decree issued by the Minister of Interior.
The four persons aged 19 years, 21 years, 31 years, and 25 years who were found in a particular apartment complex were charged in writing and are expected to be summoned before the court at a later stage.
Further, a total of 115 vehicles were intercepted, of which 50 were searched, as well as 137 persons, while 17 traffic complaints were received of which 15 were for various traffic offences and 2 complaints for not wearing masks in violation of health protocols.
