Police continued its coordinated operations to police the community of Chloraka, yesterday. The new operation took place at 5pm, until midnight and was attended by members of the Paphos Police Department, the Paphos Crime Prevention Unit, the PAPD, the PAPA, the PAPA YMCA, the YKAN (Pafos Cell) and the Airport Security Directorate (ASA).
According to a spokesperson for the Police Headquarters Communication Branch, during the operation, a check was carried out at an apartment complex in Chloraka, for violations of the decree concerning the settlement of international protection applicants in that community.
In total, checks were carried out in apartments and three persons were identified who were residing in violation of the decree and after being charged in writing, they were released to be summoned later.
At the same time, a total of 85 vehicles were stopped, of which 32 were searched, as well as 48 persons.
The checks resulted in 19 traffic complaints.
Police operations will continue at a later stage.
