The Police continued the coordinated operations to police the community of Chloraka yesterday.
According to the Press Spokesman of the Paphos Police Directorate and Head of the Paphos Police Department Michael Nicolaou, during the operation, checks were carried out at various houses, apartment complexes, as well as traffic checks.
Two persons were found to violate the decree of the Minister of Interior dated 3/12/2021, concerning the prohibition of settlement of applicants for international protection within the given community.
A criminal case is being investigated against the above persons, as well as against the owner of the apartment complex where they were found residing, for violation of the relevant decree.
Also, during the operation, 60 vehicles were stopped for inspection. At the same time, during the traffic checks carried out, members of the police made 12 complaints for various traffic offences.
The Paphos Police are continuing their investigations.
