New government measures in force What changes from today
New measures to limit the spread of the pandemic of coronavirus will come into force from today, Monday, in Cyprus.
According to the decree of the Minister of Health published on January 6, the teleworking rate is set at up to 50% of the staff of each company or organisation in the service sector as well as for the public and wider public sector.
Companies employing up to 10 people are exempt from the teleworking measure, while in essential services the head of each service regulates teleworking according to the needs of the service.
Further, a ceiling of 200 persons is set for eating places, entertainment centres, music and dance centres, weddings and christenings, subject to the health protocols and the maximum number of persons per square metre in force.
Also as of today, dancing is ended, while the maximum number of persons per table is set at 8 persons.
Also, from 10 January, accommodation and visits to hotels/tourist accommodation will only be allowed to persons who have completed their vaccination programme or who have started their vaccination programme and the period of time required to receive the 2nd or 3rd dose of vaccine has not elapsed.
