The new cases of the virus in Greece - What the EODY announced - The situation with deaths and hospitalized people

The announcement of the EODY:

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours in Greece are 19.504, of which 45 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 2,255,421 (daily change +0.9%), of which 49.7% are male.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 363 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2.187 are associated with an already known case.

New deaths[/B] of COVID-19 patients are 93, with a total of 25,095 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.0% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 484 (63.0% male). Their median age is 66 years. 86.0% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among the hospitalized intubated patients, 359 (74.17%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 125 (25.83%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,180 patients have been discharged from ICUs.

The admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 375 (daily change -16.29%). The seven-day average admission is 377 patients.

The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
