New evidence coming to light demonstrates a long history of action by the now 69-year-old musician against other underage girls "We were playing in the sea and he grabbed my vagina" "We were playing and he put his hand through my underwear."
Allegations of sexual abuse of underage girls against the former drummer are now taking the form of an avalanche before the judiciary, who has already been given a 12-year suspended prison sentence for sexual acts against a 6-year-old girl in 2011.
Now, however, new evidence that has come to light and is in the hands of the prosecutor demonstrates a long history of action by the now 69-year-old musician against other underage girls and even while the case of indecency against the 6-year-old girl was still pending in court!
In particular, five new allegations of sexual abuse have been filed against him. These allegations are included in a joint complaint, which is now the subject of a prosecutorial investigation. And as part of that investigation, five more statements by women who reported sexual abuse by the musician have allegedly emerged, bringing the total number of complaints against him to ten.
Remarkably, however, the women's complaints relate to their abuse while they were minors! They even prove that the drummer's alleged atrocious actions go as far back as the 2018-2019 period, when the first case against him for the sexual abuse of the 6-year-old girl was pending in court, a case that really causes disgust, according to the details of the relevant decision issued and revealed by "Thema".
Shocked by the new allegations
"One day around the middle of the holidays me, the defendant and some other little girls were playing in the sea and the defendant approached me and made a joke "about peeing in the sea", he found an excuse and grabbed my vagina," said one of the women who accused the drummer of sexually assaulting her while she was underage. Continuing her shocking description, the complainant is further alleged to have said: "At that moment I was upset, I felt embarrassed without understanding why as I could not understand why someone would catch you at that point. After the incident I found an excuse to get out of the sea and since then I started to avoid him. The following year, on the first fortnight of the month, the complainant was there again, in the same spot. I watched him continue to approach the holidaymakers' children and supposedly "play" with them. What he did disturbed me. That is why I am coming forward and testifying to what happened so that no other girl is victimized by him, now fully aware that what I suffered at the hands of this man is a serious offense..."
"He put his hands inside my underwear"
Another woman who has denounced the former drummer describes: "My family had known the complainant for years, as he was a neighbor (...) When the new school year started I went twice to a child psychologist to help me. Many times he would come to pick up his daughters from school and my biggest fear was that he would tell me to take me back with him, because we lived close by. My parents wouldn't let me go back to their house and my mother always told me not to go outside either. That summer I also hosted (...) who was living abroad at the time and came and stayed with us every summer."
The same woman then describes how the musician suggested they play a computer game on the computer and while all the girls were looking at the computer screen he "took the opportunity to put his hand through my underwear and started rubbing his fingers on my vagina, between my legs."
The same woman then describes how the musician suggested they play a computer game and while all the girls were looking at the computer screen he "took the opportunity to put his hand through my underwear and started rubbing his fingers on my vagina, between my legs. "I tried to get up at that moment" - the complainant says - "but he grabbed me by the arms and pulled me onto his mole and continued to caress and rub me at that point."
The lawyer for the women who denounced the musician to the prosecution authorities, Panagiotis Papaioannou, said: "The first phase of the preliminary examination for a series of sexual acts which he committed over a number of years, repeatedly and serially, against at least ten, as is known to date, underage girls, all his victims, is being completed at a rapid pace and with successive revelations of disgusting details."
According to Mr. Papaioannou "on 14/2/2022, following an order of the Athens District Attorney who had received and studied the complaint submitted two weeks ago by five adult women, unknown to each other, who accused him of having abused them when they were between 8 and 13 years old at various places and times, it was urgently ordered to conduct preliminary investigations to investigate the nature of these complaints. Within a week, these have doubled in number and more are expected to come to light.
Furthermore, the lawyer for the five women who have filed complaints against the drummer says: "The Aeolian floodgates have not only opened, but have unleashed sweeping winds that are changing the landscape in relation to the heinous crime of sexual abuse of minors, which until now has been characterised by the difficulty of detection and recourse to the authorities. This time the multiplicity of victims, the high-profile perpetrator and the heinousness of the offences have overcome the fear, shame, hesitation and guilt of the victims and their families. So in addition to the first case, for which the defendant was sentenced in 2019 to 12 years in prison for repeated sexual acts against a minor who was then (between 2011 and 2013) 6 to 8 years old - and while he is still at large on parole until his appeal hearing, set for April 11, 2022 - at least 10 new cases have emerged, relating to offences committed up to and including 2018 to 2019. That is, while the first case was pending, for which the defendant was first summoned to enter a plea in 2015, he appears to have continued undeterred in a lifestyle directly related to the sexual abuse of underage girls wherever he was and whenever he could."
Finally, the counsel states that some women unknown to the complainants have voluntarily appeared at the ongoing preliminary hearing, and even more are additionally moving forward with new lawsuits against the musician and other episodes of ongoing sexual abuse, some of which include violence.
