Vaccinations against coronavirus will be carried out on Friday, January 7 in the Municipality of Lefkara, for the convenience of both residents and the wider region.
In a written announcement by the Municipality it is stated that "following an agreement between the Minister of Health Michael Hadjipandela and the Mayor of Lefkara, Sophocles Sofokleous, on Friday 7 January 2022, a mobile vaccination unit will be at the Lefkara Conference Centre to vaccinate the residents of the wider area. Vaccinations will take place from 9 am to 3 pm."
It is added that "Ministry of Health officials will be on site to inform citizens about the benefits of vaccination, as well as to answer questions and concerns of citizens in relation to vaccination."
It is noted that "only persons, aged 12 years and above, who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 (1st dose administration) and persons, aged 12 years and above, who have received the 1st dose of Moderna or Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and the period required for the 2nd dose (Moderna 4 weeks and Pfizer 3 weeks) has elapsed, will be eligible for vaccination by the mobile unit."
Regarding the vaccination "with booster/3rd dose, persons aged 18 years and older will be served, provided that a period of 5 months and 2 weeks has elapsed since their 2nd dose vaccination. For persons who have received the Johnson & Johnson mono-dose vaccine, they will be able to receive a booster dose with the same vaccine or with a mRNA technology vaccine (Moderna).
The notice reminds that "all persons will necessarily be required to present proof of identification (ID card, passport, Alien Registration Card, etc.), as well as the vaccination card if they will receive the 2nd or 3rd dose."
