In eastern Finland, in the municipality of Kontiolahti, the "meteorite" emerges from the forests as a mysterious dark object. The three-storey house designed by the architectural firm Ateljé Sotamaa is made of wood and consists of a series of open rooms that are interconnected and integrated into the natural surroundings.
Inside the polyhedral-shaped house, a 10 square metre skylight atrium with a skylight offers an unobstructed view of the starry night sky. And those living in the house can enjoy the stars by sailing on a catamaran net placed under the skylight at a height of seven metres from the ground.

For his part, Ahti Rantonen, a managing director at Vahanen Group offering civil engineering competence consulting for landmark projects such as the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma and the Music Center Musiikkitalo in Helsinki - expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with Ateljé Sotamaa; he expressed, while expressing the hope that "n the future there will be more opportunities to work on high-quality construction projects with wood, regardless of their location.
