A woman who tried her luck in the world of virtual reality is talking about a surreal nightmare and gang rape by at least three male avatars.
Rape by three to four male avatars has been reported by a woman who said she was raped just 1 minute after entering the digital world of the Metaverse.
The subject was psychotherapist and virtual reality researcher Nina Jane Patel, who spoke of the surreal nightmare she experienced, which, she said, felt like a real event, with no significant variations in her own emotional world, due to the advanced technologies used in the simulation.
The woman appeared shocked, describing her digital experience of a brutal virtual reality incident in which her own avatar was allegedly verbally and physically attacked by others with male voices telling her not to pretend not to like it.
The 43-year-old described a horrific experience that happened too quickly, just 60 seconds after I entered.
In fact, the psychotherapist, who lives and works in London, noted that her reaction was similar to what she would have had if the event had happened in real life.
As independent, the woman disclosed the incident in question via her official account, even saying that a spokesperson for Meta expressed displeasure with what happened in the digital world.
