Memo to the Committee of Occupied Municipalities was delivered yesterday by Dr. Sotos Ktoris, Chairman of the Technical Committee for Cultural Heritage, which lists the cultural heritage monuments of the Occupied Municipalities that need maintenance and restoration.
An announcement by the Committee of Occupied Municipalities states that in a meeting yesterday, the members of the Committee had the opportunity to exchange views with Dr. Kotoris on issues concerning the work of the Technical Committee, the challenges and difficulties and the vision of saving and preserving history in the occupied land.
The Commission welcomed the "new relationship of closer cooperation and communication between the two institutions", with the common goal of "saving our culture that is suffering and disappearing under the boot of the occupier".
During the monthly meeting of the Committee of Occupied Municipalities, members unequivocally condemned the violation of international legitimacy in Ukraine and at the same time complained about the lukewarm reaction of the international community towards the Turkish invader, compared to the prompt and correct imposition of severe sanctions on Russia.
