PKK "MP" demands explanations for the footage of the Faliyali assassination, while new evidence emerges

Explanations for the release to Turkish media of footage recorded by the cameras of the electronic surveillance system integrated with Turkey in the occupied territories immediately after the assassination of Khalil Faliyali, demands from the "police" the "deputy" of the Republican Turkish Party, Devrim Barchin

According to the Press and Information Office, Mr. Bartsin said that the "police" should immediately report whether they have these camera footage in their possession, stressing that under the "legislation" governing the use of surveillance cameras, it is "police personnel" who are responsible for accessing "city security systems".

"The fact that this footage has somehow been leaked abroad is a failure of the police itself to provide security and an indication that our physical safety and the safety of our community is at risk," Barchin said.

Soilemez Mafia in Turkey

Meanwhile, the pro-government Yeni Safak in Turkey, in a report, refers to the Soilemez gang and writes that its leader, Mustafa Soilemez, is among those arrested in Istanbul for the murder of Falyali.

The newspaper writes that the gang, which was one of the dark figures of the 1990s in Turkey, came to prominence with its clashes with the Bujak family. It is also called a "uniformed gang", as its members include soldiers, police officers, lawyers and doctors. The name of the gang was first heard in 1994, when an armed confrontation broke out in a bar between gang members and former MP Sedat Bujak. Mehmet Sena Soilemez, the leader of the gang at the time, was wounded and associates of the MP died, leading to a feud between the two sides.

The gang, whose names were also mentioned in the murder of businessmen Koutrettin Altay, Irfan Altay and Ali Achikgioz, was also implicated in the Susurluk scandal. Members of the gang, who were imprisoned from time to time, were also reported for illegal activities in Iraq and Azerbaijan.

The Bujak family, an enemy of the Soylemezler family, had good relations with the assassinated Falyali. Fatiz Bouzak, in a post after the murder of the Turkish Cypriot "baron of the night", which included photos of Falialiali, said among other things that he "lost a friend."

The Birgiun hosts statements by human rights lawyer Fezile Osum, who said that anxiety and fear have increased in occupied Cyprus following these developments. She added that it was rumoured that Falialiyali would be out of the game for a while. "Was Falialiali killed because he knew too much? Did he really have information that touched AKP members and bureaucrats in Turkey? There are many scenarios related to this. There is also a lot of misinformation. Since there is no democratic process, the doors of the island were fully opened to organized crime organizations. There were also the allegations mentioned by Pecker. No concrete steps were taken. Nor were steps taken regarding the murder of Kutlu Andali," the lawyer said."

In his article in Avrupa, Sener Levent, drew attention to Veysel Shaheen, who was arrested during the online betting operation and whose assets of $700 million were seized. Noting that Falialiali was working with Shaheen, Levent said that Falialiali's work was not illegal. "Here, 5 people have legal rights (to the virtual betting). One of them was Falyali. It was former Prime Minister Hussein Ozygurgyun who gave him this licence."

Describing the general atmosphere of the society, United Cyprus Party chairman Izet Izjian said: "People are asking: 'What is happening to us? What has happened to the country?' Why is this happening when there is almost 1 soldier, 1 policeman, 1 MIT official for every person in the country?"

Saying that Cyprus has turned into a casino paradise, Izjian noted that where there are casinos there is cannabis, heroin, human trafficking . "There are underground forces in Turkey in this business. The society is aware of this. It also knows that the reason why the island has become like this is the Turkish administration," he said."

He added that "the government in Turkey resurrected terrorist organizations and illegal organizations in the 1990s. Who killed Kutlu Andali in the past? Siafak Mahmutyazioglu, a lawyer for Alaadin Chakiji, was assassinated. Tanner Ai, who allegedly had close ties with the German Ottomans, was killed in Bulgaria."

According to him, "everyone knows that these issues are not issues between Turkish Cypriots themselves. We are a small society. Such things have never happened in the past. We went from a country where people slept with their windows open and no murders were committed to a place where murders were committed with Kalashnikov guns."

Izzian also noted that Falialiyali had sued him and his party, seeking compensation of TL 2 million because, as the murdered man had claimed, he had been called a mafia. "We made the allegations." Izet Izjian said Falyali was the financial support mechanism of the CEC. "Suddenly, this structure was removed. The fact is that Falyali had established a serious network in this country, creating a dependent sphere of influence from media bosses to journalists and political parties. This power was taken away by greater powers. These powers are in Turkey," he said."

"I am sorry on behalf of my country, on behalf of society. The way out of these things is to enter international law, democracy and living in a secular democratic state under the rule of law," he added."

The Turkish edition of the Independent newspaper writes that for 14 days the assassins had been tracked by the killers and two ambushes had been set up on two different roads through which Falialiali could have passed. His house and offices had been under surveillance since January 24, other weapons besides a Kalashnikov were used in the execution, which have not yet been identified,[/B] and those who fired were in three different places and opened fire on the vehicle where Falyali was.
