The Cyprus problem and the Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) were discussed, among others, French President Emmanuel Macron and President Nicos Anastasiades at a bilateral meeting on Thursday evening on the sidelines of the European Union-African Union Summit in Brussels.
As President Anastasiades said in a post on Twitter on Friday morning, the two Presidents had a "productive meeting" on the Cyprus issue and the MoUs proposed by the Greek Cypriot side: Cyprus, MoU, bilateral relations between Cyprus and France, the continuation of the French EU Presidency and international developments," the post reads.
"We agreed to remain in constant contact," it adds.
