This morning, AKEL Paphos Municipal Councillor George Kounas crossed the threshold of the Police Station, who "fell" victim to a macabre post.
In the post made by a Facebook user, a photo of him was posted with the comment "Gone. Good Heaven" while dozens of users rushed to the comments to condole his family.
The "fake" news caused great concern among the family and friends of Mr. Kunnas who, however, treated the sad post with humour.
He nevertheless reported the incident to the police giving the details of the account where he posted the news of his "death" so as to ascertain whether it is a real person or a fake account and who is behind it.
