Russian army attacks on the city of Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine, and the capital, Kiev, continued overnight.
In Kharkiv, the Russian army blew up substations, according to the city's mayor Igor Terekhov, cited by the Ukrinform news agency. The attacks caused power and water supply disruptions, according to the same source.
Dramatic Address by Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky called for an immediate end to the bombing of Ukraine by Russian troops through a new address.
Among other things, the Ukrainian president said that his country is being bombed by "evil" personified and armed with missiles. He asked for help from his allies so that there would be an immediate cessation of bombing in Ukrainian cities.
"Russia's economy must be destroyed in order to show that humanity knows how to defend itself," President Zelensky also said.
