The military conflict in Ukraine is becoming extremely dangerous for the entire humanity. The largest nuclear power plant in Europe was hit by fire from Russian troops.

The nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhya was hit today during a Russian army bombardment that caused a fire, but the safety of the facility is "guaranteed", according to Kiev, which accused Moscow of "nuclear terrorism".

When the fighting stopped briefly and firefighters arrived on the scene they managed to put out the fire before it spread to other locations causing a new Chernobyl.

The radiation level at the facility, which counts six reactors and supplies much of the country's electricity, remains unchanged, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), for its part, assured that no reactors were hit.

The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, accused Russia of "nuclear terrorism" of wanting a "repeat" of the Chernobyl disaster, where the worst nuclear accident in history occurred in 1986, shortly after informing US President Joe Biden.
