Without electricity several areas in various provinces of Cyprus have been left without electricity, mainly due to the severe weather that prevails.
According to Christina Papadopoulou, a spokeswoman for AHK,
most of the damage is due to intense lightning activity which in many cases causes damage to AHK's networks, resulting in a power cut.
However, as the Cyprus Times was told by the spokesperson of AEC, all faults are under control and efforts are being made to resolve them so that electricity can be restored to the areas where it is currently cut off.
The damaged areas are:
- Nicosia:
-Lakatameia, Agia Paraskevi area

-Germasogeia Yermasogeia River
-Kato Polemidia
-Pano Platres
- Larnaca:
-Σωτήρα
- Πάφος:
-Agios Ioannis-Salamiou
-Salamiou
