To faithful implementation of the institutional framework concerning the production and marketing of steel semolina, as well as the provision of legal assistance to the State regarding the management of the issue of the circulation of products bearing the name "halloumi" without the PDO mark, were agreed upon by the Ministers of Agriculture, Commerce and the Assistant Attorney General of the Republic.
A statement issued today by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment said that in the context of consultations with all stakeholders in the production chain of halalumi, the Minister of Agriculture, Costas Kadis, met yesterday with the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Natasha Pilidou, and the Assistant Attorney General, Savvas Angelides, in the presence of officials.
During the meeting, it was decided to commit to the faithful implementation of the institutional framework concerning the production and marketing of the product, as well as to provide legal assistance to the state regarding the management of the issue of the circulation of products bearing the name "halloumi" without the PDO mark, the Ministry of Agriculture said.
