Weak high pressure affects the area, while low pressure is expected from Thursday.
Tonight the weather will be partly cloudy, while locally thin fog is likely to form. Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly light, 3 Beaufort and on the northern coast to southeasterly, of the same strength. The sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 5 degrees inland, around 10 degrees on the east and south-east coasts, around 9 degrees on the rest of the coast and around 1 degree in the higher mountains, where frost will form locally.
Tomorrow the weather will be partly cloudy and isolated showers and on the higher Troodos peaks some snowfall is likely in the afternoon. Winds will be mainly northeast to southeast, light, 3 Beaufort and occasionally on the east and south coasts up to moderate, 4 Beaufort. The sea will be up to a little rough. The temperature will rise to around 19 degrees inland and on the coast and around 9 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tomorrow evening the weather will gradually become mainly cloudy and isolated showers or thunderstorms are expected, mainly on the coast. Snow or sleet is likely to fall on the higher peaks of the Troodos. Winds will be mainly northeast to southeast, light at 3 Beaufort and occasionally in the west and on the northern coast up to moderate at 4 Beaufort. On Thursday and Friday the weather will be mainly cloudy, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. On the higher peaks of the Troodos or locally in the higher mountains, occasional snowfall is expected. From Friday evening, a noticeable improvement in the weather is expected. On Saturday the weather will be mainly clear, with occasional clouds.
The temperature will drop slightly on Thursday and not change significantly on Friday, mainly in the interior and in the mountains, to be close to average climatic values. On Saturday, a general slight rise in temperature is expected.
