The driver, who was stranded for 16 hours, claims that the moral damage she suffered cannot be satisfied with the amount of 2,000 euros

Without accepting the compensation of 2.000 euros from Attiki Odos, a driver who was stranded due to the bad weather Elpida for more than 16 hours is claiming 10,000 euros from the company.

The woman from Evia with the lawsuit claims to be awarded monetary damages for moral damages amount of 10.000, citing, inter alia, her unbelievable inconvenience and the fact that she uses this road on a daily basis, paying exorbitant tolls over the years. She therefore expected the relevant companies to be ready to provide her with equally high services under any circumstances.

Her own lawyer spoke to Eviathema.gr stating that his client believes that the moral damage she experienced cannot be satisfied with only 2.000 euros.

Moreover, both the plaintiff and the lawyer himself believe that no ombudsman is competent to unilaterally determine the amount of monetary compensation to which anyone who suffers damage from the acts or omissions of a company is entitled. As they say, the Greek Courts are competent and it is to them that they have decided to appeal as the only competent authority for the assessment of the damage and moral damages suffered by the plaintiff.
