"He cannot say he was on the computer and did not know what was happening," he claimed, referring to the mother's allegations
The murder of 7-year-old Andreas, who would have had a birthday today, was mentioned by the self-appointed lawyer of the Polish perpetrator, Alexis Filios.
"The deceased Andreas, who would have had a birthday today, was going to school and suddenly his mother kept him at home and took him away from school. What is the reaction of the authorities" Mr. Filios told ERT, who stressed that he is in a difficult position since the court assigned him this case.
Referring to the testimony of the confessed perpetrator, Mr. Filios said that the mother's partner "claimed that he was not putting duct tape on the child, but paper tape, and was putting him against the wall, fasting, and on this particular day he heard a thump and saw the little one lying down. He tried to revive him, but he didn't succeed." He added meaningfully, "the conclusions are yours."
According to the lawyer of the Polish perpetrator of the heinous murder of the minor child in Kypseli, "the abuse and the constant punishments are a fact."
Filios also focused on the indifference of the authorities and the neighborhood in the face of the abusive environment that was known to almost everyone: "The neighbourhood was listening, (the children) didn't go to school, abuse...".
Speaking about the actions of the two perpetrators, the 29-year-old mother and her 33-year-old partner, who hid the child's remains for five years in a toolbox, he said how he did not want to mention the "gruesome details", as he described them.
"These gruesome and despicable things should not be heard. These are confessed," he said. Commenting on the defense line he will take and whether the perpetrator has blamed the mother of 7-year-old Andreas for the crime, he pointed out that co-responsibility is indirect.
"In a 12 square meter room, without a partition, four people lived," he said, concluding that everything was known to family members. "He can't say he was on the computer and didn't know what was happening," he claimed.
