Kousios returns to the Presidential Palace in place of Vassilis Palma who resigned yesterday
An old acquaintance at the Presidential Palace
President Anastasiades, exercising his constitutional powers, decided to appoint Kyriakos Kousios to the position of Deputy Minister to the President, following the resignation of Vassilis Palma yesterday, which was even associated by political circles with the 2023 presidential election and Mr. Palma's intention to openly support Christodoulides' candidacy.
However, in his resignation letter, Mr. Palmas cited personal reasons for his resignation. Vassilis Palmas for the excellent cooperation and for the excellent performance of his duties throughout his term of office as Deputy Minister to the President.
The confirmation ceremony of the new Deputy Minister to the President will take place at the Presidential Palace on 2 February at 9.30am.
