The trial of Dimitris Lignadis may have been adjourned for February 25, but what continues, with undiminished intensity, is the confrontations between the lawyers of the two sides, as well as the attacks against those on the side of the accused - something that Sakis Rouvas made on Saturday, with his televised statements, in the show "Smile Again".

In more detail, the lawyer of Dimitris Lignadis, Alexis Kougias, issued a statement in response to the statements of one of the advocates supporting the prosecution in television shows over the weekend.

The full text of the statement

"Throughout the weekend, in all the TV shows, one of the advocates for the prosecution, the well-known from this case Mr. Vlachos, shattering both the presumption of innocence of the main defendant, who from the outset denies his guilt, and any sense of legal ethics, claimed the utterly false and slanderous about the head of our office, Mr Alexios Kougias, that his perfectly justified request for the adjudication of the case to be interrupted for 15 days, as rightly accepted by the Court, has the sole purpose of completing the eighteen months and leaving Mr Dimitris Lignadis free, concealing from those who attended his arguments that not only is there no danger of the eighteen months being completed, but that not even the twelve months of his provisional detention, which will be completed on the 20th, have been completed.2.2022 and already the competent council has extended Mr. Lignadi's provisional detention until 20.8.2022, when the eighteen months of his temporary detention will be completed.

This lawyer also concealed the request of the head of our office, Mr. Alexios Kougias, to also set trial dates within the Easter court holidays, so that the trial of Demetrios Lignadis can be completed by the end of April 2022, proving, not with comical and false claims on television, but with real requests within the Court that Mr Kougias' obstructions (folli follie, Kontostathi - fake doctor, Topaloudi, Mandra trial and at least 20 felony trials of serious homicides and other offences) were all real, therefore accepted by the Court, and not pretentious towards this gentleman.

Today, Mr. Kougias will send Mr. Vlachos an extrajudicial invitation - protest - statement, in order to publicly refute the statements, otherwise he will turn against him before the civil and criminal courts, before which Mr. Dimitris Lignadis will also turn, both for the illegal lack of respect for the presumption of innocence, and for all the false and slanderous statements he has made about him in all the shows he has appeared in almost every day for a year, in order to terrorise all those who really know him and not to come forward as witnesses in his defence, as happened with the well-known artist Mr Rouvas, who was attacked in an orchestrated manner by the well-known strangers on the Internet, because he dared to bring out the true personality of Mr Lignadis'.
