Your Excellency Mr President,
I am informed by the press that you intend to submit to the Turkish side proposals for so-called Confidence Building Measures. Among the measures being discussed, as I understand it, is the now legal operation of the illegal Tympos airport.[BR]As you know, the issue of the legal cover for Tympos airport is extremely serious and touches not only on interim measures, but also on the Cyprus settlement. In view of the critical nature of the matter, it is my request that you grant me time for briefing, but also to give me the opportunity to develop my views which may be useful to you.
Looking forward to your response.
Sincerely
Georgios Kolokasidis
