Four men were arrested in the occupied territories for violating a grade A military area and stealing items from houses in the enclosed area of Varosha.

As reported in the occupied territories, they are Jioskun and Tashkin Gyumustas, Jiadas Oz and Hussein Kara, who allegedly stole furniture and objects from houses in Varosha and stole electrical cables.

The 4 were taken to the Famagusta "provincial court" yesterday where the "police investigator" said they were thefts on different dates within 2021 committed despite security measures by the occupying army and "police" and security cameras, which he described as a "shocking event".

He claims in his statement that he collected the wires "from here and there". During a search of his house on January 13, other old copper wires were found.

The 4 were placed in one-day custody and were expected to be brought back to "court" today.
