Two persons were identified and arrested yesterday, in Nicosia, for facilitating interrogations in connection with investigated cases of burglary and theft. They are a 44-year-old man and a 40-year-old man, against whom arrest warrants were pending.
First in time, the 40-year-old was identified and arrested during a police investigation at a house in Nicosia. A court arrest warrant was pending against the 40-year-old, which was issued in connection with the investigation of a case of burglary, theft and malicious damage, committed in a village in the Nicosia district in January 2022.
A few hours later, the 44-year-old was located in an abandoned building in Nicosia and arrested. He had outstanding arrest warrants for two cases of burglary, theft and malicious damage, committed in Nicosia, between July and December 2021.
