The meeting under the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades at the Presidential Palace was completed, of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) with the Ministers of Health, Finance, Education, Labour and Justice, which put on the agenda the recommendations of the Committee in relation to the adoption of new measures due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, the Government Spokesperson, the Deputy Government Spokesperson and officials.
In relation to the issue of the return of students to schools, as reported by the Cyprus News Agency, the meeting resulted in the opening of schools next Monday, January 10.
This was preceded by a meeting at the Ministry of Finance of the Scientific Advisory Committee with Health Minister Michael Hadjipandela, which concluded just before 18:00.00.
