Today in the Transport Committee we studied EU harmonized bills, whose passage is a prerequisite for the disbursement of resources from the Recovery and Resilience Fund, says Fotini Tsiridou.

As the DISY MP says, the bills in question concern regulations of electronic communications, postal services and radio communications. "The aim is to put them to a vote in the plenary session of the Parliament on 24 February 2022."

Also, she adds, "we continued the discussion regarding the rules for towing cars and the relevant procedures, as well as regulations regarding motorcycle plates so that they are allowed to be smaller than the current measurements. The discussion on both issues was concluded without any significant comments."

In conclusion, he said that as part of the parliamentary scrutiny, they were briefed on the operation of the new light signage system so far. "The police spokesman said that since the beginning of the year, some 30,000 offences have been recorded, with 900 offences a day. We were also informed that as of yesterday, the processing of complaints has started and the exoneration letters will begin to be sent to drivers."
