"I'll slaughter you and set the house on fire" He threatened and beat his wife because she couldn't find his keys

Another serious allegation of domestic violence comes to light.

The new incident allegedly took place in a mountain village of Pelion on Sunday, with a 60-year-old man as the protagonist.

The man, who allegedly has an alcohol addiction and has a bad temper, according to his wife's complaint to the police, went to the house on Sunday night while he had been drinking and, on the grounds that he was looking for his keys and could not find them, insulted his wife and threatened her that he would slaughter her and set the house on fire, according to magnesianews.gr. In addition, he hit her in the face.

The woman went to the local health centre and the medical report was swelling on the face and abrasions on the arm, and then complained to the police.

The accused was sought and arrested the day before yesterday Monday, and reports say that he testified to the police that he did not want to hit the woman.

Yesterday he was taken to the Volos Extraordinary Three-Member Plenary Court on charges of threatening, insulting and causing slight bodily harm with intent.

However, because the victim did not show up to testify, he was given a postponement for trial on Friday and was released on the condition that he did not go near his house and after committing himself to spend the night at his sister's house.
