A man appeared at a police station in southeastern France on Friday and confessed to killing another man, showing as evidence his victim's head and penis, which he was carrying in a backpack.
"A person went to Fréjus police after cutting off a man's head and penis," Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur police authorities said in a press release.
According to APA, judicial police explained to Agence France-Presse that the 38-year-old perpetrator "displayed a human head" and "was immediately taken to the police station and taken into custody."
The arrested man was known to the authorities for various petty offences.
