A man in Heraklion died in hospital from complications of coronavirus, father of a minor girl, just hours before the change of time.
He breathed his last breath in the intensive care unit where he was being treated with an intubator, plunging his family, relatives and friends into mourning.
According to information from ekriti.gr, the man was the father of a minor girl, while the teachers and the Parents and Guardians Association of the school where the girl goes, are devastated by the tragic news.
On New Year's Eve, the EODY announced for Crete 1,870 new infections, namely: 1,002 in Heraklion, 486 in Chania, 254 in Rethymno and 128 in Lassithi.
