The mobilization has borne fruit for the family from Yolou with the 5 children who, together with their mother, had to go to the Paphos Hospital for tests as part of the tracing process.
The reaction of the Ministry of Health was immediate and arrangements were made for officials to go on site to take the required samples.
As reported in a previous Cyprus Times[/URL], the whole matter concerned a family with six young children in the village of Yolou where the father was found positive for coronavirus last Saturday and was isolated in the basement of the house.
The tracing unit asked the mother to take five of the six children aged between one and five years old to Paphos Hospital today for a molecular test while observing all protective measures which she was unable to do without assistance.
The mother, in particular, asked the Ministry of Health to have her relatives assist her in the transport, which she has been forbidden to do, stressing that it is almost impossible for her alone to transport all the children at the same time for the molecular test.
The issue was resolved before it could get out of hand thanks to the immediate intervention of the Ministry of Health officials.
