Satisfaction with the progress of vaccinations of children 5-11 years old by those responsible and actions to increase vaccination coverage of this age group.
As the Minister of Health says, the excellent cooperation between the Ministry and the medical community has proven many times that it brings the desired results in terms of protecting the health of citizens, but at the same time sends encouraging messages with regard to the response to the pandemic and the protection of our vulnerable groups.
For this reason, he underlines, "I would like to express my sincere thanks to the members of the Cyprus Paediatric Society and especially to its President Dr. Michael Anastasiades, who yesterday, Sunday 2 January 2022, left their families in the midst of the holidays and threw themselves into the "battle" of vaccination, thus protecting children aged 5-11 years old."
As noted, yesterday 640 vaccinations of children were carried out at the vaccination centre of the State Fair, while as part of our efforts to better serve parents/guardians and especially children aged 5-11 years, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Cyprus Paediatric Society, will proceed with the operation of large vaccination centres on 8 January 2022, at the Spyros Kyprianou Sports Centre and on 15 January 2022, at the office of the Commissioner for Development of Mountain Communities in Trimiklini, from 8 am to 2 pm.
