Regarding the position of the President of the Society of Family and Personal Physicians Mr. Andreas Polyneiki, that they have not received relevant information on the prescription of the antiviral drug Molnupiravir, the Ministry of Health clarifies that, the Personal and Specialist Doctors as well as the hospital pharmacies of the OCYPY have been informed since yesterday, Friday 14 January 2022, through a communication sent to their e-mail addresses by the Health Insurance Agency.
The notice provided guidelines on how to prescribe the drug Molnupiravir to patients with mild/moderate COVID-19 disease through the GHS IT system. The Ministry of Health contacted the President of the Society of Family and Personal Physicians Mr. Andreas Polyneiki, who confirmed the receipt of the relevant communication.
It is also stressed that the pharmaceutical preparations are in the pharmacies of the state hospitals and the prescription process will begin on Monday, January 17, 2022.
