After a coordinated operation, members of the Paphos CID managed to handcuff a suspect for a murder committed in Romania.
According to police, the 47-year-old man allegedly suspected of murder managed to flee to Cyprus while wanted. A European arrest warrant was issued against him on the basis of which he was arrested.
Following this development, the Cypriot authorities are expected to inform the Romanian authorities in order to start the extradition procedures of the 47-year-old so that he can be tried in the country where the crime was committed.
