Possession of child pornography - Information through Europol - Arrest of 39-year-old man Evidence taken from his home was sent for scientific tests

After information received through Europol, members of the Cybercrime Branch proceeded today on the basis of a court warrant to arrest a man aged 39 years old.

The information forwarded to the Cybercrime Branch concerned an owner/user of a social networking platform who uploaded an image file containing child sexual abuse material on the internet[/B].[/B]

During the search of the 39-year-old's residence, a cell phone and a laptop computer were located and received as evidence, which will be sent for scientific testing.

The Headquarters Cybercrime Branch is continuing examinations.
