Security cameras[/B] on 5th Avenue in New York City captured the robbery frame by frame. A 59-year-old man sees a homeless man sleeping on the street[/B] in the cold.[/B] The man approaches him, takes off his coat and attempts to cover him.
Then something unthinkable happens. The homeless man jumps up started punching the "Good Samaritan" who is surprised, knocks him to the ground and grabs his wallet from the back pocket of his pants.
The 59-year-old man tries to get up to get his wallet back and then takes a punch to the face that knocks him down for good. The homeless man then starts running to get away, wallet in hand.
He was robbed of his wallet
The homeless man was arrested a few hours later in an adjacent neighborhood. He had managed to throw the empty wallet into a dumpster and had removed $1,500 from inside. Exactly what the man who went to do the good deed had on him.
Officers determined that the homeless man is 25 years old and named Xavier Israel and had previously concerned authorities when about a week ago he had assaulted a 49-year-old woman who had also attempted to provide him with assistance.
