A passenger forced his way into the cockpit of an American Airlines passenger aircraft at an airport in Honduras while it was in the process of boarding people for a flight to Miami, USA, ABC News television network reported yesterday (Tuesday).

Reuters news agency was unable to verify the network's information independently.

According to the ABC News report, the passenger, who has not been named so far, stormed the cockpit, damaged the controls and tried to jump out a window of the plane, but was prevented by the pilots.

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft, carrying 121 passengers and six crew members, was grounded due to damage to its controls at Ramon Villeda Morales International Airport in the city of San Pedro Sula, always according to the network.



Passengers will board other aircraft to enable them to reach their destination.
