Finnish skier, Remi Lindholm faced an incredible problem after finishing his endurance skiing race at the Beijing Winter Olympics

He revealed that when he completed his attempt in one of the "fiercest" sports of the Games, his molecule had frozen from the cold and needed a hot water bottle to bring it back to the right temperature.

"You can guess which part of the body was a bit cold when I finished, it was one of the worst races I've ever participated in. When the body parts started to heat up after the finish, the pain was unbearable," Lindholm told media in his home country.

It's worth noting that the race lasts little over an hour, but athletes lose around 1,000 calories, with many of them collapsing at the finish. The Finn has even encountered the same problem in the past, and this year's race was shortened by 20km due to the unprecedented cold weather. For the record, Lingham finished 28th in the endurance skiing at the Winter Olympics.
