A man in the US went out to dinner on Valentine's Day and left a tip of 200% more money than the bill.
Specifically, TikTok user @realkingkhang was apparently trying to impress the group he was out with that day and left a huge tip.
Since the bill was $46, the waiter received $92 in tips.
The video begins with "KingKhan" paying for his meal on a tablet, when he asks the waiter to swipe the tip screen "as far as it will go" to determine how much he would get.
He is then heard saying: "Boom. 200 percent" and a woman can be heard talking excitedly upon seeing it.
The waiter can be heard telling the couple: "Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate that." A caption even appears during the video which reads: "I love doing this. It's so nice to make someone's day."
However, for this act, besides being positive, he also received negative comments from Tik Tok users.
Many people praised TikToker for his generosity, as waiters in the US usually have a lower salary and therefore rely more on tips.
However, others believed that the intentions behind his tip were not pure, as TikToker seemed to be bragging in his video. Many asked why the exchange had to be taped and published.
