Journalist Eugenia Christopoulou - Mother of Nikos Angelis

Journalist Eugenia Christopoulou lost her battle with covid on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the age of 69.

The journalist was the mother of actor Nikos Angelis.

Eugenia Christopoulou's biography

Eugenia Christopoulou was born in Athens in 1952 and after completing her secondary school studies at the B' Gymnasium Thileon, she studied at the French department of St. She began her journalistic career at the Press Office of the Greek Hotel Association in 1972, while at the same time writing for the Association's publication "XENODOXIA". From 1973 to 1978 she worked in the editorial department of the magazines "TAXI" and "CRITICAL THEMES" by Manolis Doulgerakis. In 1978, she was editor-in-chief of the magazine "SORED" and in 1979, production director of the publishing house "DIACHRONIKI" of Pavlos Bakoyannis. Since 1980, she worked for the magazine "OMADA" of the Lambrakis Organization as editor and assistant editor. Then, she worked for the newspapers "ETHNOS", "VIMA", "GNOMI", "EIDESISIS" as well as in public television, as head of the foreign news department of ERT2 and at the same time, news anchor.

The Board of Directors of ESIEA extends its deepest condolences to her son Nikos Angelis and her family. The funeral of Eugenia Christopoulou will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, 21 December 2021, at 1 p.m., at Papagos Cemetery.
